Calcite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media used for the neutralization of acidic water. Its self-limiting nature ensures pH is only corrected to a non-corrosive equilibrium, preventing over-treatment. As water passes through Calcite, acidic components dissolve the calcium carbonate, raising the pH and reducing the risk of copper, lead, and other metals leaching into the water supply. Affordable and effective, Calcite is widely used for residential and commercial applications.
