Zentec™ Hybrid Alusil MR1 is a heavy metal removal media engineered with a unique aluminosilicate base. Its pore structure (100–250 Angstrom) captures heavy metal ions, including lead, by drawing them into narrow channels and locking them irreversibly. This mechanism functions like a camera shutter, optimizing binding efficiency with minimal energy. Alusil MR1 is food-grade and listed by the US FDA as a food additive, ensuring safety in potable water applications. With excellent pH stability (5.5–10) and no impact from other minerals, it reliably reduces heavy metal concentrations from 250 ppb to less than 10 ppb, making it highly effective for safe drinking water applications.
